Ho Ho Mei Char Siu Fan Pouch Bag

Inspired by the classic Flower Basket Bowl found on countless Hong Kong dining tables, this surprise pouch is a tribute to the city’s heartfelt and hospitable food culture.

The design takes inspiration from a memorable line in Twilight of the Warriors – Kowloon Walled City (九龍城寨之圍城): 「好好味」 (“ho ho mei” – truly delicious). What makes a taste unforgettable isn’t just the flavor, but the human connection behind it.

We gave the familiar bowl pattern a playful reinterpretation, spotlighting the words “ho ho mei” as a nod to the spirit of old Hong Kong—when neighbors shared not just food, but warmth and stories across the table.

Known for its red band and floral basket motif, the Flower Basket Bowl was once a staple in dai pai dong, cha chaan teng, and family kitchens alike. More than just a vessel, it held laughter, love, and the comforting rhythm of everyday life.
